3D Model / Mesh
A 3D model is a type of vector data that contains a mesh or set of meshes connecting point nodes. This allows it to represent geometry more complicated that terrain or other vector features. The model may also contain a texture, lighting information, vertex and face orientations, as well as a number of other attributes that define how the model appears in 3D.
Global Mapper provides a number of tools for working with and visualizing 3D models or meshes.
