Import Coordinate System From PRJ/WKT/GML
To Import a Coordinate System definition from an Esri PRJ file, a Well Known Text (WKT and WKT 2.0), a Geography Markup Language (GML) file, or a TAB file.
-
Go to Datasource>Import Objects > Import Coordinate System from WKT/WKT2/PRJ/GML/TAB file
-
Browse to the file defining the Coordinate System and click Open. The definition will be imported into your Coordinate System Definitions.
-
If the file you have selected matches an existing definition, you will see a prompt indicating the name of the system the file matches up with and you will be given the option to use the matching definition or to import the duplicate system with the name indicated in the PRJ
-
If you have imported new Coordinate Systems, you can organize them within the folder structure of the Geodetic Datasource by going to Datasource > Coordinate System Definitions. All new systems will be located at the top level of the appropriate category in the Coordinate Systems tree view. You can drag and drop individual definitions to an appropriate folder. When you close the dialog, be sure to click Save to save your changes or they will be lost when you close the Calculator.
