This daylong session is an in-depth training course using one of the most powerful and flexible of data conversion applications available today. The course also features education on the basics of geodesy and mapping which is useful for both the novice or as a refresher for the expert geodesist. About the Geographic Calculator: The Geographic Calculator converts individual coordinates, point database files, and vector map files from virtually any coordinate system to any other. You can transform between coordinate systems, calculate the distance and azimuth between two coordinates, and calculate new coordinates at a known distance and azimuth from known coordinates. The daylong Calculator training session includes a detailed interactive overview of coordinate conversion, coordinate systems and geodesy.
