Adding Data via Email

Data can be loaded into Global Mapper Mobile by emailing a Global Mapper Mobile Package file (*.GMMP) as an attachment. Load the email in a mail application, and tap on the attachment. Tapping on the attachment from the iOS Mail application, or selecting the option to share the file, opens file options. Select Global Mapper Mobile from the list of available apps to save and open the emailed Global Mapper Mobile Package file (*.GMMP).

Emailed files can also be saved to the iOS Files app or shared drive apps. Files saved on the device can be access by opening the Files app or shared drive app and choosing to open the file in Global Mapper Mobile.

Data can also be exported from Global Mapper Mobile via email. The option to email a saved map is available from the map list options or the Export Map item in the Main Menu. Emailing a map from Global Mapper Mobile will use the default mail app set up on the mobile device.
