Global Command Search

The amount of tools and commands available within Global Mapper is continually expanded with each released version. The Global Command Search tool allows for a quick method to search for and access a specific tool or command through keyword or phrase.

Global Command Search can be accessed from the button in the File toolbar, or from the File menu.

Prior to entering a keyword or phrase into the search bar at the top of the dialog, all commands available within the user interface are displayed divided by category. When a keyword or phrase is entered, the list of available commands will be filtered to just the ones which contain that particular search term.

The Category drop-down menu can be used to further filter the list of results to the specific type of command.

Double clicking on a tool or command will automatically run that specific function.

Hide Unavailable Tools

Enabling the Hide Unavailable Tools button will limit the list of tools to ones which are usable with the currently loaded data. This option can be dynamically toggled on and off.

Open Help Page

With a specific tool selected, the Open Help button can be used to open the relevant help documentation page.
