Single User License
A single user license is tied to a single computer when registered. Two versions of the dingle user license type are available for Global Mapper and Global Mapper Pro, Single User Node-Locked and Single User Floating. For assistance with any license type or more information on your license, please contact our licensing team at orders@bluemarblegeo.com.
Single User Node-Locked License
Designed to be permanently installed on a single computer a Single User Node-Locked license can be activated via an internet connection using the Activate single-user or trial license option from the registration dialog box, or with an emailed file using the Offline Activation option. A Single User Node-Locked license can be moved to a new machine up to two times per 365 days.
Single User Floating License
A Single User Floating license is registered to one computer at a time but can easily be moved. When removing and registering a Single User Floating license it is strongly recommended that both computers have an internet connection and the registration option Activate single-user or trial license is used for an online activation. Additionally, Single User Floating licenses are Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) enabled allowing them to be installed and used on machines that are accessed remotely.
In order use the 3D viewer via remote desktop RDP, the machine running Global Mapper must have a workstation graphics card. Without a workstation graphics card RDP reverts to openGL 1.0, and can not support the 3D viewer capabilities. Other functionality in Global Mapper can still be used via RDP.
