Jobs

A Job is a particular type of task that can be completed within the Calculator.  A group of individual Jobs makes up a Project.  

There are various Jobs available in the Geographic Calculator:

• Interactive Conversion
• Point Database Conversion
• Point Database Forward Inverse
  
• Point Database Best Fit
• Point Database Derive Datum Transform
• Seismic Survey Conversion
• Seismic Survey QC
• Vector Data Conversion
  
• Land Survey Summary
• Raster Transform
• Area Calculation
• Line Intersection

Each job is described in further detail on the Start Page of the application. Data may also be loaded into the Start Page to determine which jobs can be used with the loaded data. See also Vector Data and Raster Data to determine which conversion jobs to use with the data type.

Each conversion job specifies the input data, then includes the Source Point Coordinate System, the Target Point Coordinate System, and the Coordinate Transformation to go between them.
