Vector Processing Preferences
To access the Vector Processing Preferences, click Options > Preferences, and then select the Vector Processing section. This will allow you to alter a number of settings related to AutoCAD files, Disk Cache, and the use of a DGN Seed File.
Vector Files
Specify the default directory to look for vector files. This will be the starting directory when opening data from a vector job.
DWG and DXF Options
The Create AutoCAD DXF/DWG Version region allows you to select which version of AutoCAD will be used when saving AutoCAD DXF and DWG drawing files from the Geographic Calculator.
The DXF/DWG Options region allows you to turn on and off settings specific to DXF and DWG files. Options include:
-
Explode block reference when the insertion point cannot be transformed: When this is checked, if the original insertion point for the block cannot be transformed, all components of an internal block will be broken up and added to the output file as individual pieces. Select this option if you want to transform the block data individually, but note that this may dramatically increase the size of the output file. Additionally, exploding a block may result in the loss of attribute data associated with the block.
-
Preserve arcs and ellipses: Input data that is defined as an arc or ellipse may not transform properly when these types are preserved. When this option is not checked, arcs and ellipses will be transformed as polylines and polygons, respectively.
Upgrade LAS/LAZ version
Set the LAS/LAZ output version as the same as the source file, or choose an upgraded version.
Vector Data Conversion Options
The Vector Data Conversion Options region allows you to control various options.
Check New conversions use disk cache by default if the disk cache should be used by default, instead of loading the file in memory. Note that using the disk cache will reduce memory load for large files, but will also slow processing time.
When the Automatically rename output files or tables
instead of overwriting option is checked, you will still be warned
if the output file or table already exists. If you continue, however,
the new output file will be named <name>1.<extension> (or
if that already exists, then <name>2.<extension>, and so on).
Selecting the option to Clear Coordinate System when loading data with no defined system will set the Input Coordinate System to 'None' when data that does not have a defined system is loaded into a Vector Data Conversion job.
When the Reverse Axis for Geodetic Systems option is selected, all input GML files that have a geodetic coordinate system will be treated as if they are specified Longitude/Latitude.
Disk Cache Location
The Disk Cache Location region allows you to set the location where files will be stored when disk caching is enabled.
DGN Seed File
The DGN Seed File region allows you to enable the use of a DGN Seed File. A seed file can be used as a template to apply styles and other settings to the output DGN files. Check Use the specified seed file when writing DGN files to enable this option, and select the desired seed file.
Velocity File Options
Y Value is the First Parameter will switch the expected axis order when converting velocity files.
