Early Bound Coordinate Reference Systems are projected or geodetic coordinate systems that are bound to a transformation. The transformation is part of the coordinate system definition, and transforms from the base coordinate reference system to a common pivot datum (commonly WGS84). This means that another transformation can not be used to get from the Early Bound coordinate reference system to another coordinate reference system, it can only be transformed via the included transformation.
