The Online Classroom is growing! Blue Marble Geographics is pleased to announce the release of new premium courses that cover more advanced functionality of the software. These courses are geared towards users who are familiar with the software and want to go in-depth on particular subjects or processes. These two courses have just been released, and more are planned for the future.

The enrollment process is easy: browse the Online Classroom course library for Premium courses, select “Take this Course” to add it to your cart, and after payment, you will receive a claim code to add the course to your Online Classroom profile. After you redeem the claim code, you’ll have access to all the material for that course. Each course is organized into multiple lessons with accompanying workflows, and you can browse all the material for the course at your convenience.

Learn Scripting Fundamentals

The first two premium courses in the Blue Marble Geographics Online Classroom cover a hot topic for many Global Mapper users – scripting to automate workflows. The Principles of Global Mapper Scripting course is geared towards getting any user up and running with our proprietary scripting language, Global Mapper Scripting. Many processes in Global Mapper can be scripted, and this course takes you through examples such as importing and exporting data, operating a series of spatial queries, and generating a point cloud or 3D model from a set of overlapping drone images with Pixels to Points, among other topics. This course ensures that you not only grasp the fundamentals, but also gain valuable insights into the nuances of the Global Mapper Scripting language.
