Hallowell, Maine – November 10, 2015 — Blue Marble Geographics (bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce that an additional Global Mapper training class will be conducted in Atlanta, Georgia during the first week of December, 2015. This three-day class will provide both new and experienced customers with an opportunity to become certified Global Mapper users and will cover all aspects of the software including basic data management, digitizing, thematic mapping, and LiDAR processing.
Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization, and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, energy, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government agencies and academic institutions.
Over recent years, Blue Marble Applications Specialists have conducted countless Global Mapper training classes throughout the U.S. and Canada and across six continents. These classes, which provide essential information for fully utilizing the potential and capability of the software, have been universally acclaimed by all who have attended.
The three day Global Mapper course begins with a day-long introduction to the software. This class includes the requisite instructions for working with files and layers, efficiently managing the workspace, using the digitizer, exporting data and much more. Day two introduces several advanced data processing procedures such as image rectification, raster calculation and thematic mapping. The final day focused entirely on working with 3D data and includes LiDAR processing, point cloud feature extraction, and various terrain analysis workflows.
The Atlanta class has been arranged to address the heightened demand for Global Mapper training in the southeastern U.S. A recent training session in Orlando quickly sold out so the additional class will provide another opportunity for those who were unable to register for that course as well for users in the greater Atlanta area.
“Global Mapper training has become an essential part of our total GIS solution,” stated Patrick Cunningham, Blue Marble President. “Designing and developing software is only part of our business model. We strive to ensure that every customer who invests in Blue Marble software has the means to use the software to its maximum potential and to quickly see a return on their investment. Our classroom training classes have been instrumental in providing this service.”
The latest Global Mapper training class will be conducted at the Georgia D.O.T. training facility at 3993 Aviation Circle NW, Atlanta, GA 30336 from December 1st — 3rd, 2015. As with previous sessions, the first day, covering the introduction to Global Mapper, will be offered free of charge with priority registration provided to those who are attending the full three days. All attendees must bring a Windows-based laptop computer. A trial license for the latest version of Global Mapper, a detailed printed handout, and all of the required data and files will be distributed before the beginning of the class.
Space in this course is very limited so to be sure to register as soon as possible. For a detailed course description as well as registration information, visit: bluemarblegeo.com/solutions/public-training.php
