How to Activate a Global Mapper Single-User License

This article targets the activation of single user licenses, both Node-Locked and Floating. Download Global Mapper
Once you have purchased Global Mapper and received an email confirmation, you are ready to download and activate the software. Users with active Maintenance and Support will have access to the latest releases.
Log in to your Blue Marble Geographics account, or register if you are a new user
It is important to save a copy of the installation files; legacy versions are no longer available for download
Where is your Order Number?
The key to activating a Global Mapper Single-User license is the order number. This series of numbers and letters (000000-XXXXXXXX) is your access to all of the Global Mapper tools. This order number is emailed to the user directly after a purchase is made. The email includes everything else you’ll need to get started with the software, including a guide that demonstrates how to activate your single-user license, among other instructional tool guides in our Knowledge Base.
Activating a Single User License
Once Global Mapper has been installed and opened, users will be prompted with a few options. Most users will follow the steps below for online activation. For those who are offline when activating the software, please follow the steps for offline activation.
Online Activation
Select Activate single-user or trial license and enter your Blue Marble login credentials (this is same as the website info to download Global Mapper)
Select Single User License and enter the COMPLETE order number
If you do not have an order number, and would like to activate a free 14-day trial, select the Trial option
If you have a Global Mapper Pro on the same order as Global Mapper, check the Pro Module box
If you have Global Mapper Pro on a separate order, do not check this box, the module will be activated separately in Step 6.
Press Continue
Global Mapper should now open, and say REGISTERED in the top left hand corner

Activating Global Mapper Pro license if it is on a separate order number:
Navigate to the License Manager
Help Dropdown > License Manager
Check the box next to Global Mapper Pro
Steps 1 & 2 using the Global Mapper Pro order number, and check the Pro Module Box
Offline Activation
If an offline license is required, you will need to contact our licensing support team: authorize@bluemarblegeo.com with your MAC ID.
To find your Machine (MAC) ID, please ensure that you have disconnected from all WiFi Adapters and Docking stations.
Open Global Mapper and select Offline Activation
The Machine ID will be displayed on the dialog, click Generate to create a text file capturing the machine ID information for your computer.
Attach the generated text file to an email with your order number to authorize@bluemarblegeo.com.
Our licensing team will then provide an offline license file (or 2 if you have Pro); save them to your local computer
Click the 3 dots to navigate to the Global Mapper offline license, and hit continue
If you have Global Mapper Pro, check the Global Mapper Pro box in the License Manager
Repeat steps 3 & 4, navigating to the Pro license file
