Blue Marble To Host Dual User Conferences in 2014, Announces “Call for Papers”

Hallowell, Maine – April 15, 2014 — Blue Marble Geographics (bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce its upcoming User Conference events and invite the global user community to participate in this year’s “Call for Papers”. Blue Marble will be hosting two User Conferences. The first event will be held at the Delta Bow Valley Hotel on September 8, 2014 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The second User Conference will be held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on October 30, 2014 in Houston, Texas, United States. Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

The Blue Marble User Conference (BMUC) has a proven track record and is a great opportunity to learn about new mapping technologies and software features that streamline data workflows and maximize software investments. BMUC is a great place for networking with industry professionals and providing the Blue Marble Team with feedback so they may continue to deliver high quality, customer driven software solutions. Blue Marble has decided to offer two User Conferences this year due to the success and turnout of last year’s event. Calgary is a new BMUC destination for Blue Marble, specifically chosen due to the uniqueness and size of the user community throughout Alberta. In the past few years Blue Marble has conducted several public and on-site training events in Calgary, with each of the public events reaching maximum user capacity. . This is an opportunity for Blue Marble Geographics to give back and sincerely thank its community of users throughout all of Western Canada.

Similarly, the 2014 Blue Marble User Conference in Houston will again be held in conjunction with GITA’s Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference & Exhibition, providing conference attendees with the opportunity to network and learn new practices from a variety of industry professionals. The topics of discussion will range from data analysis and pipeline planning, to LiDAR data processing. The Blue Marble Team will also demonstrate the latest features and functionality found within Global Mapper and the Geographic Calculator 2014. This will be a great opportunity to join the Blue Marble Team and learn how to maximize your investment when using Blue Marble Software.
