Blue Marble Geographics announces the release of the royalty-free TIGER/Line® Map Kit, a detailed street and polygon database for your GIS application. The TIGER/Line Map Kit includes the six U.S. Census Bureau TIGER/Line 97 CD ROMs, and a versatile Tiger to Shape or Tiger to MIF translator.
TIGER/Line 97 is the definitive and most recent GIS data set for the entire United States. The TIGER/Line 97 data contains all U.S. Streets, with street names and address ranges based on the USPS Delivery Sequence file, Zip and Zip + 4 codes. In addition, Congressional boundaries, voting and school districts, incorporated places, hydrography, and much more is included too. TIGER (Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing) format is used at the U.S. Census Bureau to support the mapping and related geographic activities required by the decennial census and sample survey programs.
