Blue Marble, utilizing its broad base of “off the shelf” geographic component technology, has incorporated “state of the art” graphical plotting and interactive wizards to set up receiver initialization, timing initialization, and management of almanac data provided by Motorola’s line of Oncore GPS receivers.
Specifically designed for the automotive OEM and systems integrator, the new high speed GT Oncore is the latest generation of Motorola’s popular core GPS receiver. The GT Oncore boasts a 90 second cold start, 15 second hot start and reacquisition time of less than a second. The UT Oncore GPS receiver, the timing version of the GT Oncore, features high accuracy one-pulse-per-second output and the T-RAIM (time receiver autonomous integrity monitoring) algorithm for ensuring integrity in the timing solution.
WinOncore, a “plug n’ play” Windows software component application created by Blue Marble, will be shipped with every new Oncore GPS receiver evaluation kit and also will be available separately for existing Oncore users. This new offering will enable Motorola customers to record, play-back, parse and plot Oncore GPS data and extensively evaluate Motorola’s GPS receivers. WinOncore provides direct support for the Motorola binary format as well as the industry standard NMEA 0183 format.
For more than 65 years, Motorola has played a leading role in the development of wireless communications, semiconductors and advanced electronic systems and services for worldwide markets. Motorola continues that leading role as a manufacturer of automotive-specific GPS receivers, wireless modems, and cellular phones.
