Who can join the beta program?

All registered Blue Marble users with experience using GIS, surveying or mapping software are welcome to participate.

Is it free to participate?

Yes. Beta testing is completely free. In return, we ask for your thoughtful feedback on the features you test.

How long does beta testing last?

Beta testing usually lasts about 4 weeks. When the testing period is over, the beta license will time out.

How do I download the beta version of the software?

After being approved for beta testing and the beta period opens, you will receive an email with download instructions.

Can I access beta software on multiple devices?

Yes. Desktop applications have a built-in license and may be installed on multiple devices. Web-based applications may be accessed from multiple browser windows simultaneously.

Are there usage limits?

Generally, desktop beta applications have no limitations. Cloud-based applications provide a generous allotment of credits adequate for thorough testing.

What is expected of me as a beta tester?

Use the software in your typical workflow, report any issues you encounter, and share feedback on usability, performance, and functionality.
